Offer terms
- Available to the first 50 households during our first 30 days of trading, whichever comes first.
- One free delivery per household.
- Minimum product spend of R250, excluding delivery.
- Valid only for addresses within 5 km of the pharmacy.
- Eligibility and delivery window confirmed on WhatsApp before payment.
Our normal delivery pricing
- Within 5 km: R35 delivery, or free on orders of R500 or more.
- Between 5 km and 7 km: R45 delivery, or free on orders of R500 or more.
- Beyond 7 km: Contact us on WhatsApp for a delivery quote.
- Delivery fees and estimated delivery windows are confirmed before payment.

Houghton Pharmacy is an independent, community-focused pharmacy in Houghton Estate. We believe healthcare should feel personal. That means taking the time to understand your needs, offering honest advice, and making sure you leave with confidence.
As part of the local community, we are committed to dependable service and genuine care. Whether it is a prescription, a question about medication, or simply advice on staying well, we are here to help.
How to communicate with us
The easiest way to reach us is through WhatsApp. Use the button below to start a chat, and a member of our team will assist you.
WhatsApp chat will be available when we open in October 2026.
Using WhatsApp you can:
- 1. Place deliveries: Send us your order and delivery address, and we will arrange everything with you.
- 2. Order click and collect: Place and pay for your order via our WhatsApp channel so it is ready for a smooth pickup on your way back from work.
- 3. Inquire about product availability: Check whether an item is in stock before you visit or place an order.
- 4. Place an order for out-of-stock items: If an item is not in stock, we can arrange with our suppliers to order it for you and let you choose collection or delivery.
- 5. Arrange a call back: If you prefer speaking to someone rather than texting, send us a message on WhatsApp and request a call back. We will phone you as soon as a front shop assistant or pharmacist is available to discuss your query.
How delivery works
We deliver your order straight to your door. Message us on WhatsApp and a real person will guide you through your order.
- Step 1: Click the WhatsApp link which will directly open a conversation.
- Step 2: Let us know what you need. We'll happily send you any pictures of products and alternatives if you require. You will be chatting with an actual human, not AI.
- Step 3: We will confirm your total, including any delivery fee, and the estimated delivery timing before payment.
- Step 4: We send you a secure payment link where you can pay with a debit card, credit card, virtual card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. Houghton Pharmacy will never ask you for your confidential bank details, including your CVV, expiry, or full card number.
- Step 5: We dispatch your order and confirm once it is on its way. Once your order has been picked up by the driver, you will receive a direct link where you can track the driver's location as well as communicate any additional instructions such as entry pins, boom gate access, et cetera.
You can also opt to select a click and collect option. After payment, we will keep your item ready for collection at your requested time.
There is no fee for click and collect services.

- Friday: 08:00 – 12:00 and 14:00 – 18:00 (closed between 12:00 and 14:00)
- Saturday: 09:00 – 13:00 and 17:00 – 19:00
- Sunday: 09:00 – 12:00 and 17:00 – 19:00
